Abstract
Concrete with a mixture of coconut fiber waste is an innovation carried out to reduce unused coconut fiber waste. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of coconut fiber on the flexural strength of corroded concrete with various levels of steel corrosion. In this study, the specimens used was concrete with dimensions of 100 x 100 x 150 mm as many as 10 beams with a mixture of coconut fibers of 2% of the weight of cement. At the age of 28 days, the specimens was accelerated corrosion using the galvanostic method with corrosion levels on steel reinforcement of 0%, 3%, 7%, and 11%. After accelerating corrosion, the specimens is carried out of flexural strength test. In this test, the highest flexural strength obtained was in the beam specimen with variation of 2% coconut fiber with a corrosion level of 7%, which was 2.61 MPa. This is happen due to the highest density at the beam specimen with 7% corrosion level of 2370 kg/m2 .
