Abstract

The development of hospitality business especially on homestay requires hospitality business actors to adapt to the times, one of which using is by using social media to reach a larger market, therefore creating new profession such a influencer and content creator. Instagram account @Ratihsukmaresi is one of influencer or content creator to promote homestay business in Yogyakarta. In this study using qualitative research methods, by measuring the data obtained from interviews with the account owner Ratihsukmaresi along with 3 followers. The results show that @Ratihsukmaresi is a content creator staycation in Yogyakarta. In carrying out this promotion @Ratihsukmaresi differentiates content into paid and unpaid content. In using Instagram, @Ratihsukmaresi consistently brings content with pay attention to unique selling point, but @Ratihsukmaresi must provide more education for client in order to understand effectivieness of promotions on social media and also the need to evaluate post either through insight so that there are improvements as in the use of hashtag and also variation content.
