Abstract
This study aims to determine what factors affect the production of tilapia in ponds and to find out the costs, revenues, income and profits of tilapia farming in ponds. This research was conducted in Margomulyo Village by purposive sampling and the determination of respondents using simple random sampling technique. The number of respondents in this study were 60 farmers in Margomulyo Village who did tilapia fish farming in ponds. The data obtained was obtained by conducting interviews with tilapia farmers using the help of a questionnaire that had been prepared. Data from the interviews were then tabulated. Data were analyzed using the Cobb-Douglass function model and farming analysis. The results showed that together the production factors (land area, number of seeds, amount of feed, organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer, EM4 fertilizer, fish medicine, labor, and waterwheel technology) had a significant effect on the production of tilapia in ponds. The t-test (partial) showed that land area, number of seeds, amount of feed, organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer and the use of waterwheel technology significantly affected the production of tilapia in ponds. While the use of fish medicine, EM4 fertilizer and labor did not significantly affect the production of tilapia in ponds. Production costs incurred by tilapia farmers on pond land are Rp. 44,854,347 for farmers who use waterwheel technology and Rp. 24,032,656 for farmers who do not use waterwheel technology. The revenue received by tilapia farmers is Rp. 58.072.857 for farmers who use waterwheel technology and Rp. 34.087.179 for farmers who do not use waterwheel technology. The income received by tilapia farmers is Rp. 16.917.335 for farmers who use waterwheel technology and Rp. 12.312.741 for farmers who do not use waterwheel technology. The profit obtained by tilapia farmers is Rp. 13,218,510 for farmers who use waterwheel technology and Rp. 10,054,524 for farmers who do not use waterwheel technology.
