Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Indonesian rubber exports to the United States. The dependent variable used is rubber exports, and the independent variables are the exchange rate (exchange rate), world rubber prices, rubber production, GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the United States. The data used in this research is annual for the period 1989 – 2020 sourced from the Directorate General of Plantations, IRSG (International Ruber Study Group), and the World Bank. The research tool used is the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) using the help of Eviews 7.0. The estimation results obtained in the short term that the United States GDP (Gross Domestic Product) variable and rubber production have a significant effect on Indonesian rubber exports to the United States, while the exchange rate (exchange rate) and world rubber prices are not significant for Indonesian rubber exports to the United States. . Long-term results, the estimation results obtained indicate that the variable exchange rate (exchange rate), world rubber prices and rubber production are significant to Indonesia's rubber exports to the United States, while the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the United States. The results of this study also produce analysis, namely IRF (Impulse Response Function) and VDC (Variance Decomposition).
