Abstract
Protection equipment that is often used in distribution systems is Over Current Relay and Ground Fault Relay. The two relays are located on the recloser and Circuit Breaker which is on the outgoing side. Over Current Relay is a relay that can work when there is a disturbance between phases, while the Ground Fault Relay is a relay that works when there is a single phase fault to ground. In order for the safety of the feeder to work properly, the outgoing recloser and Circuit Breaker must coordinate well. So with that, it takes a relay setting on the recloser and outgoing Circuit Breaker. In order for the outgoing recloser and Circuit Breaker to coordinate well, the recloser TMS setting must be faster than the outgoing Circuit Breaker TMS setting. With a faster setting, it is hoped that the recloser will work first when there is a disturbance in the main line after placing the recloser. After calculating the settings for the outgoing recloser and Circuit Breaker, the TMS setting values obtained are Over Current Relay and Ground Fault Relay on recloser 0.1529 and 0.1010. Meanwhile, for outgoing Circuit Breaker, the TMS Over Current Relay and Ground Fault Relay setting values are 0.3799 and 0.2399. With the calculation results obtained, it is expected that the outgoing recloser and Circuit Breaker will coordinate well. This is because the TMS recloser setting is faster than the outgoing Circuit Breaker, so the recloser will work first than the outgoing Circuit Breaker when there is a disturbance in the main line after placing the RCBK feeder recloser. The recloser placement can also be seen from the largest value from the FITNESS calculation. The recloser placement affects the number of transformers that can be protected by the recloser when there is a disturbance. With optimal placement, it is hoped that the recloser will secure many transformers when a disturbance occurs. From the results of the FITNESS calculation, the largest result was obtained in RCBK-PMBE with a FITNESS value of 372,384,500.00. With the FITNESS value, the recloser can be relocated around the main route RCBK-PMBE.
