Abstract

ntroduction – Chronic Kidney Dissease (CKD) is one of the diseases of the urinary system due to a progressive decrease in kidney function. Renal failure patients who undergo hemodialysis regularly may experience several symptoms including physical symptoms such as pain, itching, and nausea, and physiological symptoms such as anxiety and depression The goal – in this case report is to determine the quality of sleep and Symptom Burden in chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysistherapy. Methode – This writing method is a case study applied in nursing care consisting of assessment to evaluation. The instruments used are the Edmanton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS) and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Results – in this case report found that patients experienced acute pain nursing problems and sleep pattern disorders and had been given nursing interventions according to Evidence Based Nursing (EBN), namely foot massage therapy to reduce pain and Qur'an murotal dhikr therapy to improve patient sleep quality. Conclusion – The interventions used for pain and cramps are effective foot massage therapy to reduce pain from Symptom Burden and Qur'an murotal dhikr therapy is effective for improving the sleep quality of patients undergoing hemodialysis.
