Abstract

Multi-storey building is a building that can minimize land for purposes such as lecture buildings. Multi-storey buildings have a very high risk as they can collapse due to natural disasters or weak structures and fires. Multi-storey building must have a fire protection system which is one of the systems that plays an important role in safety. Therefore, it is necessary to do research to solve the problem of protection systems in multi-storey buildings. The purpose of this study was to obtain the value of the problem of the multi-storey building protection system in the UPY Science and Technology Faculty building. This research was conducted using descriptive analysis methods and direct observation which refers to (Pd-T-112005-C) from Research and Development Agency of the Ministry of Public Works. The results of the research conducted were to obtain the Reliability Value of the Building Security System (NKSKB) which included 22.025% of site completeness, 13.65% of rescue facilities, 19.032% of active protection systems and 21.84% of passive protection systems. So, that the Faculty of Science and Technology Building obtained Building Safety Value (NKSKB) worth 76,547% included in the "ENOUGH" category. Thus, the research conducted in the UPY Science and Technology Faculty building has not met the appropriate requirements to be used as a reference in the building safety system.
