Abstract
Obtaining equal treatment before the law is certainly the desire of every person in the world, especially the right to obtain recognition as a legal citizen. If the rights as citizens are not fulfilled properly, other rights will also be threatened, ranging from economic, social, political, economic and educational rights. And the non-fulfillment of these rights occurs in Aboriginal tribes, namely the original inhabitants of the Australian continent. Aboriginal tribes have experienced crimes due to genocide human rights violations committed by the white immigrant race, namely the British. Initially, the British saw Australia as “terra nullius”, that is an uninhabited continent/region. The British people think that European culture is superior to other cultures and they see that the Aborigines do not have a system of government and an adequate social structure. Until finally formed a British colony led by Arthur Philip as the Governor of England at that time. Forced land grabbing, acts of racism and discrimination have deprived Aboriginal people of their rights as indigenous Australians. Seeing this, a legal entity called the Australian Human Rights Commission certainly does not remain silent seeing the suffering experienced by Aboriginal people. Several policies continue to be carried out starting from the fulfillment of constitutional rights, economic rights, education rights and political rights.
