Abstract

In order to meet the need to conduct solar cell research at an inexpensive and
flexible tool. A research on the design of the tool Dip Coating with Open Source
Platform for Thin film deposition on the solar cell applications. This research aims to
make a DIP COATER which is used for thin layer deposition and to identify the
performance and rotation constant of the DIP COATER. The component used to make
DIP COATER is an Arduino UNO R3 which is implanted with a program on the
microcontroller as well as to determine the settling speed (cm per minute). DIP Coater
made with a pulse width changes in the program for 80 to 16000. The test results show
Dip coating apparatus capable of producing speeds 88.2cm per minute the pulse width
to 80, and at the latest by 0.5cm per minute at a pulse width 16000.
