Abstract

This paper discusses about the impact of regional economic
development in the East Asia area to South Korean Economy.
East Asia have been dropped to crisis in 1997-1998. It taught
many things to strengthen the economic of the country itself.
The purpose of this article is to analyze the development of
South Korean Economy impacted from East Asia regional
economy. South Korea has well abilities to develop the
economy through the economic management governance
since 1960s. Through the economic regionalism theory and
industrialization concept, the author intends to analyze the
impact of East Asia economic regional to the South Korean
economic development. In the hypothesis, it is found that the
power of economic regional can encourage the cooperation
as an anticipative action to prevent the financial crisis. This
also indicated the role of South Korean government to
strengthen the economic governance.
