Abstract
This thesis aims to explain the reason The United States bans Huawei 5G Technology. Huawei is a Chinese tech giant company that leads in the development of 5G Technology. 5G Technology is predicted as the future infrastructure with all the advantages it has. However, Huawei received an unpleasant response from the US government. The US government's response was to ban Huawei's 5G technology. Therefore, in this study, the author wants to explain the reasons behind the Huawei ban's policy. Using the concept of National Security and Trade War. The result is that the reason behind Huawei's ban is Huawei 5g technology's potential to threaten the US national security and The US trade sentiment against China. From previous success to develop 4G United States wants to win in the 5G race because it is predicted will provide a lot of benefits for the United States, especially in the economy. Huawei ban is likely part of a larger US-China trade war and an attempt by the US to remain a global superpower.
