Abstract
This research aims to explain the contribution of L'Oréal to eradicate child labor phenomena in India, especially in the state of Jharkhand and Bihar. The widespread use of child labor in illegal mica mines in India makes L'Oréal, as one of the companies that also uses mica from India feels the need to contribute to eradicating this phenomena. Therefore, this research uses the theory of the United Nation Guiding Principle on Business and Human Rights, in which the author emphasizes the two pillars of the theory which consist of the corporate responsibility to respect human rights and access to remedy. L'Oréal, together with several multi-national cooperations, took the initiative to establish a non-profit organization called the Responsible Mica Initiative (RMI) as a form of contribution in the eradication of child labor mica mining in India.
