Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a role for parents in the
motivation to learn Arabic for fourth grade students at SD IT Jabal Nur Gamping.
This study uses quantitative research with data collection methods, namely
questionnaires. As for the subjects of this research are the fourth grade students of
SD IT Jabal Nur Gamping, totaling 34 people. The data analysis technique used
regression analysis.
The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect on the
role of parents on the motivation to learn Arabic for students of SD IT Jabal Nur
Gamping. This is evidenced by the regression line equation, namely Y = 51,749 +
0.051x. From the regression equation above, the constant value is 51,749 so that if
the value of the role of parents is 0, the value of the students' motivation to learn
Arabic is 51,749. The regression value of the role of parents is 0.051, which
means that each increase in the role of parents by 1%, the motivation to learn
Arabic students increases by 0.051 From the results of the t test carried out, the
variable of the role of parents has a significant value of 0.798 or greater than 0.05
and it can be seen from the acquisition of T table which has a positive value of
0.258. So from the results of this value, it can be concluded that the role of parents
variable (X) has a positive and insignificant effect on students' motivation to learn
Arabic (Y). The coefficient of determination R Square of 0.002. Thus we can
know the influence of the role of parents on students' motivation to learn Arabic
by 0.2%.
