Abstract
Cooperatives are a place for people whose economy has not yet fulfilled to work together to meet their daily needs. Discussing cooperatives, there are many types of cooperatives in Indonesia, one of which is the Village Unit Cooperative (KUD). One of the cooperatives that is currently still operating is the Village Unit Cooperative in Sejangkung, Sambas, West Kalimantan, namely the Piantus Village Industrial and Craft Cooperative which is engaged in rattan handicrafts. Researchers are interested in examining how the strategies carried out by the Piantus Village Industry and Craft Cooperative (Kopinkra) in the economic development of the Piantus Village community and analyzing the inhibiting and supporting factors of the Piantus Village Kopinkra in the economic development of the Piantus Village community. In this study using descriptive qualitative research methods. This study uses a SWOT analysis strategy approach to determine the strategic designs that are made. From the results of the research that the author has done with Kopinkra Desa Piantus, it can be concluded that the strategy that has been carried out by Kopinkra Desa Piantus in 2019-2020 is to increase village community participation, develop human resources and improve production quality / capacity, establish partnerships with distributors, optimize management systems by monitoring and evaluation, and increasing promotion. However, in the process, based on the strategy that Kopinkra Desa Piantus has implemented, it is still not optimal, a more mature strategy is needed so that the Piantus Village Kopinkra strategy in helping to develop the economy of the village community can be achieved according to goals and objectives.
