Abstract

This research aims at figuring out the effect of (1) family religiosity towards SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan/Vocational School) students in Bantul Regency, (2) school types towards the SMK students’ moral behaviors in Bantul Regency, (3) family religiosity and school types towards the SMK students’ moral behaviors in Bantul Regency.
This research was using quantitative descriptive method. The subjects of the research were SMK students in Bantul. The data collection technique used was research scale, interview, data presentation and data verification. The data analysis technique was multiple regressions analysis with 5% significance.
The research result shows that there is positive and significant effect of family religiosity towards students’ moral behaviors. The higher the family religiosity is, the better the students’ moral behaviors level. On the contrary, the lower the family religiosity is, the lower the students’ moral behaviors level will be. There is positive and significant effect of school types towards students’ moral behaviors. In other words, there is significant difference between students who study in the religious schools and those who do not. Students who study in religious schools tend to have higher moral behavior. There is significant and simultaneous effect of family religiosity and school types towards students’ moral behaviors. It indicates that if family is exposed with the environment of religious schools, students will morally behave more appropriately.
