Abstract

This research is a quantitative srudy which aims to determine the effect og government size on economic growth. Regional economic growth expressed in GDP is the right indication to analyze the economic conditions of a region, to achieve high regional economic growth requires the role of the government. This is indicated by the government expenditure variable, namely indirect expenditure and direct expenditure, the investment variable, namely gross fixed capita formation, while the human resource variable in the avarage lenght of schooling. This research wa conducted using the panel data method in the from of a fixed effect model consisting of 33 provinces in Indonesia for the 2015-2019 periode.The results showed that the variable gross fixed capital formation, direct expenditure, average lenght of shcooling had a positive coefficient and had a significant effect, while the indirect
