Analisis Peran Kepemimpinan Perempuan Dalam Lembaga Keuangan Syariah Di Tinjau Dari Teori Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional ( Studi Kasus BMT Wilayah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta)

BMT is a fast-growing Islamic financial institution, it has a very strategic role
in realizing Indonesia's target to become the basis for the world's sharia economic
finance in 2024. Therefore, the role of the leader is very important in realizing the
success of BMT. Several BMTs in the Special Region of Yogyakarta are led by a
woman. These BMTs are among the largest in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The researcher analyzed the role of women leaders in BMT in the Special Region
of Yogyakarta which was reviewed from the Transactional Leadership Style
Theory. This study uses a qualitative approach with a purposive sampling method.
The data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and
documentation by analyzing data using triangulation of sources.
The results of this study indicate that the leadership of women leaders in Islamic
Financial Institutions in the Yogyakarta Special Region reflects effective roles for
the institution or for its employees, namely the interpersonal role, the informational
role, and the decision-making role, all of which are carried out very well.
Leadership in Islamic Financial Institutions, especially in BMT, applies a
transactional leadership style, because the transactional leadership style can lead to
professionalism from employees.
