Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1) the career guidance services in selfconcept development, 2) the factors that influence the formation of selfconcept development in SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Lendah. This research uses a descriptive analytic method with qualitative approach. The research subjects were the principal, two counseling teachers, and 3 students. The data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: the career guidance services in developing self-concepts involve: understanding the potential that exists within the students to prepare and develop self-concepts in facing the world of work, readiness for job positions, and adjusting to the needs of the job field according to interests, talents, intellectual abilities, behavior, personality, and body. In addition, the guidance services should pay attention to the self-concept that appears in students. Furthermore, the services seek to helping students understand self-concept by providing materials such as job vacancies, information about lectures, and providing materials that suit each student's needs. There are two factors that influence the formation of self-concept, namely: a) parenting style: family, b) environment: friends and school.
