Abstract
Tooth extraction is a treatment that is often performed by dentists. The healing process of tooth extraction is a process of replacing the damaged tissue with new normal tissue. The healing phase of a tooth socket wound and other parts of the body is generally the same, however, the wound healing process in the socket undergoes bone remodeling. The post-extraction phase of wound healing in the tooth socket is as follows. 1. Hemostasis, 2. Inflammation, 3. Proliferation, 4. Maturation. To increase the potential for wound healing, herbal plant extract can be used as an alternative option for natural treatment because it can minimize the use of chemical drugs. Binahong acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and anti-oxidant. Hibiscus flowers have ascorbic acid which can activate intracellular signaling which functions to regulate fibroblast cell proliferation, antiinflammatory, increase fibroblast density and others. Purple sweet potato has an anti-inflammatory, antihemorrhagic, antioxidant and antimicrobial role. Cocoa has an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant role.
