Abstract
Background: WHO predicts the prevalence of MDR TB of approximately 440,000 total cases per year in the world and a fairly high mortality rate of around 150,000. Indonesia was ranked 8th in 27 countries with high burden and priority for MDR / XDR TB activities. The burden of MDR TB in these 27 countries accounts for 85% of the global MDR TB burden. Patient compliance with treatment plays an important role in the treatment of tuberculosis because it can cause resistance to tuberculosis germs so that anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) cannot prevent the spread of tuberculosis or it is called Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Purpose: The aim of the literature review is to determine the factors that influence the treatment of multidrugs resistant (MDR) tuberculosis (TB) patients. Method: This statue uses an online search using databases used by the author, including PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Google Schoolar Science Direct with a publication year limit for the last 5 years, from 2015 to 2020. The keyword used in literary search is "Medication. Adherence "AND" MDR Tuberculosis Patients"AND" Factors "AND"multi-drug resistance ". Results: The initial search resulted in 7,135 article results which indicated a high level of the topic being reviewed. The final results of the articles that meet the requirements of 14 articles are then synthesized and assessed for quality using a tool, namely the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Conclusion: Treatment factors in the reviewed literature include environmental factors, individual factors, demographic factors, interpersonal factors, and economic factors.
