THE IMPLEMENTATION OF NO-SMOKING AREA POLICY IN YOGYAKARTA TOWN HALL ON YEAR 2018

The implementation of the no-Smoking area policy in Yogyakarta Town Hall is one of the policies applied by the regional government according to regional regulation number 2 of 2017. This research focused on determining the implementation of no-smoking area policies in Yogyakarta Town Hall. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting reality data to be examined descriptively in accordance with the research problem. The data analysis technique used by the researcher is Nvivo, data collection, data reduction, presentation of data, and conclusion using primary data and secondary data. The indicators used by the researcher are communication, resources, disposition, bureaucracy structure, ability, and environments aim to find out the implementation result of the no-smoking area policy in Yogyakarta Town Hall.

The research findings revealed that implementing the no-smoking area policy in Yogyakarta Town Hall has been running well according to procedures. With that, the capacity of policy actors, cooperation between policy actors, and how policy actors check and control every three months in evaluating the policy of no-smoking areas in Yogyakarta Town Hall has been satisfactory. However, in the socialization section of implementing the no-smoking area policy in Yogyakarta Town Hall, many visitors to the town hall still do not understand the no-smoking area policy. The lack of continuous socialization makes understanding Yogyakarta Town Hall visitors or the people around Yogyakarta Town Hall do not understand the no-smoking area policy.

The recommendation for the no-smoking area policy in the future is to maximize socialization around the Yogyakarta Town Hall because socialization can support understanding of society and avoid irregularities or violence in the no-smoking area policy Yogyakarta Town Hall.
