KEPENTINGAN AMERIKA SERIKAT DI BALIK SERANGAN TERHADAP JENDRAL QASEM SOLEIMANI

This research was aimed to answer the question about” why did the United States take unilateral action in the form of miliary attack that killed the Iranian military leader, General Qasem Soleimani ?” with highligh during Iran’s military strength increased until the unilateral attack carried out by the United States in 2020. to answer that question, this research utilize the balance of power theory and preemtive strike concept. This research argues that the United States sought to balance military power in the middle east by taking preemptive strike as a response to the United States in preventing the domination of Iranian military power.
