Abstract
This study aims to i) Knowing the implementation of a ‘Kampung Sayur’ in Yogyakarta City, ii) Knowing the public perception of the potential for developing ‘Kampung Sayur’ in Yogyakarta City. iii) Knowing the factors related to the the perception of the potential for developing ‘Kampung Sayur’ in Yogyakarta City. Respondents were selected by lottery and 48 farmers were selected as samples. Data obtained using interview techniques using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques, analysis of scoring techniques, and rank Spearman correlation analysis. The results of this study indicate that the community's perception of the potential for vegetable village development can be developed by looking at 5 potential categories, namely social potential, economic potential, health potential, institutional potential, and environmental potential. The Spearman Rank correlation coefficient analysis shows that the factors related to farmers' perceptions of the potential for developing a vegetable village are the number of plants, the role of the chairman, the role of extension workers, and the role of the government.
