Abstract
Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is one of the food plants that is still often cultivated by the people of Cidahu District, but its productivity is still low, so this research needs to be done. This study entitled "Evaluation of Ex-Sand Mining Land Suitability in Cidahu District, Kuningan Regency for Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril)" aims to determine land characteristics and determine land suitability classes for soybean plants. This research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method, and the research data were analyzed using the Wight factor matching method to determine land characteristics and evaluate land suitability classes. The results showed that Cidahu Subdistrict had a fairly suitable temperature, appropriate rainfall, appropriate humidity and dry months, drainage from inappropriate to very suitable, texture according to marginal to very suitable. CEC is included in the very low to moderate category, low to moderate base saturation, neutral pH, low to moderate organic C. Total N is low, available P is very low to high, available K is very low to low, has a mild category of erosion hazard, flat to inclined slope, has no danger of flooding, the amount of surface rock and low rock outcrops. Cidahu sub-district has land suitability class N (unsuitable) with limiting factors for drainage and slope. This research is expected to provide information for soybean farmers in Cidahu District regarding land characteristics and land suitability classes for soybean plants.
