Abstract

Papaya's mealybugs, Paracoccus marginatus was one of pest that attacked California papaya variety. this study aims to learn population dynamics of mealybugs P. marginatus at three different locations for 24 weeks of observation. The result showed that population of P. marginatus was different in every location and fluctuated day by day. the population of P. marginatus first observed in week 13-15 MST and had highest population density in week 16-18 MST. The intensity of attack caused by mealybugs reaches 10-30% with the area of attack reaching 100%.
