Abstract
PT PLN (PERSERO) UPK Bukit Asam units 1 and 4 are Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU), each with a capacity of 65 MW. As a large-capacity power plant, it certainly has a large generator capacity too. Generators in generating electrical energy over time the generator will experience a decrease in generator performance. In this study, discussing the performance of power generator units 1 and 4 at PT PLN (PERSERO) UPK Bukit Asam by analyzing several generator performance parameters whether they are in accordance with generator design standards. The results of the study found that at the generator output there is active power, output voltage, output current, reactive power and apparent power. For the highest value on generator unit 1 is 57 MW; 10,93 KV; 3,03 KA; 12,1 MVAR; 58,13 MVA and the lowest value is 39,9 MW; 10,83 KV; 2,13 KA; 2,2 MVAR; 40,18 MVA. The highest value on generator unit 4 is 56,9 MW; 10,90 KV; 3,13 KA; 20,3 MVAR; 59,74 MVA and the lowest value is 41,1 MW; 10,90 KV; 2,17 KA; 7,9 MVAR; 44,16 MVA. From the results of the power factor, the performance of the generator is in a reliable state because the results are not less than the design of the generator which is equal to 0.8. The results of the highest frequency in unit 1 are 50,26 Hz and the lowest is 50,08 Hz, the results from the highest frequency in unit 4 are 50,35 Hz and the lowest is 50,1 Hz, which means that the performance of the frequency generator is reliable because of the results in accordance with the tolerance limit of 5%. The highest unit 1 generator efficiency was 95,95% and the lowest was 66,64%, the highest unit 4 generator efficiency was 92,97% and the lowest was 65,03%.
