Abstract
Essential oil is an oil produced from natural materials such as plants by distillation or distillation, the problem faced is when testing on two spiral pipes, namely zig-zag and circular spirals have different characteristics. Then it is necessary to conduct research to find out the differences and comparisons of the two spiral pipes. This research was conducted in two stages, namely testing on zig-zag and circular spiral pipes, each of which was tested for four hours. The preparation used is the material used dried clove leaves as much as 10 kg. The results of the study were in the first test conducted on a zig-zag spiral pipe for 4 hours using dry clove leaf material as much as 5kg and the results of the distillation process that can be 20 ml of clove oil, then the second test is done on a circular spiral type pipe for 4 hours using dried clove leaf material as much as 5kg, then the results of this second testing process produces 15 ml of clove oil. And it can be concluded that the testing of both variations of spiral pipes in essential oil distillation tools namely zig-zag and circular spiral pipes, the results of zig-zag spiral pipes produce more oil than circular spiral pipes because zig-zag spiral pipes have a shorter material length than circular spiral pipes.
