GAMBARAN PERSEPSI DAN PELAKSANAAN PERAWAT DALAM PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN SPIRITUAL PASIEN GANGGUAN JIWA DI RSJ GRHASIA YOGYAKARTA

Nursing views humans as unique creatures who have different needs from bio-psycho-social and spiritual in a state of illness and health. Nurses in carrying out nursing care must see comprehensively, including spiritually, patients with mental disorders. Meeting the spiritual needs of patients with mental disorders is very much needed and can be applied through spiritual healing. Mental disorders occur when there are some unfulfilled mental needs. In providing comprehensive services, nurses must first know about nurses' perceptions in fulfilling spiritual needs and implementing nurses. The purpose of this study is to describe the perception and implementation of nurses in fulfilling the spiritual needs of patients with mental disorders.This research uses descriptive quantitative method with cross-sectional. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The research sample is 85 respondents. This study used all nurses. The variables studied were the perception and implementation of nurses. The characteristics of the respondents in this study were age, gender, education, length of work and level of clinical authority. The results showed that the perception and implementation of nurses in fulfilling the spiritual needs of mental disorders patients were in a good category. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the majority of nurses are female, aged 36-45 years, D-III education, length of work <10 years and the level of clinical authority 3. The nurse perceives the fulfillment of spiritual needs as a very important thing as well as the implementation of nurses in fulfillment of spiritual needs in the good category. Perception and implementation that are applied as an evaluation in spiritual nursing care.
