PERSEPSI MAHASISWA PROFESI NERS TERHADAP ROLE MODEL PERAWAT DALAM PRINSIP BENAR PEMBERIAN OBAT

Background: In Indonesia, drug administration errors by professional clinical nursing students are about 44.5% and errors in procedure actions are about 75%. The attitude of students when practicing the clinic can be influenced by the perception of individuals or groups to nurses and the surrounding environment. As a result of a study, the cause of professional clinical nursing students miss administering drugs due to lack of supervision and role modeling of nurses. With the role modeling of nurses to students in the correct principle of drug administration, can provide a good perception and students want to model the behavior of the nurse. The purpose of the research is to know how the perception of professional clinical nursing students to the role model of nurses in aspects of professional ability, interpersonal relationships with students, personal qualities and building connections. Research method: This research is quantitative with non-experimental methods. The sample count is 93 people. Sampling technique is total sampling. Results of the study: Shows that the percentage of perception of professional clinical nursing students to the role model of nurses in the correct principle of drug administration in hospitals on the aspect of professional ability (93.5%) good category, interpersonal relationships with students (86%) good category, personal quality (88.2%) good category and building connections (65.6%) good category. So the overall perception value of professional clinical nursing students in the category of good 92 people (98.92%). Conclusion: The majority of professional clinical nursing students’ perception of the role model of nurses in the correct principle of drug administration in the good category.
