Abstract
Background : Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM) is the cause of death of almost 70% in the world. Based on World Health Organization (WHO) data in 2015 shows that about 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, meaning that 1 in 3 people in the world are diagnosed with hypertension and the number of people with hypertension continues to increase every year. The presence of sleep problems can affect the quality of sleep in people with hypertension to be bad and give serious impacts such as affecting blood pressure. Objective : The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of sleep quality with blood pressure in people with hypertension in puskesmas Kasihan 1 Bantul Area. Methods : This study uses a method of correlation analytics with a cross sectional approach This research is a cross sectional quantitative research. The sample was taken by 80 respondents using Sampling Purposive technique. The results of data analysis in this study using univariate and bivarat analysis (spearman rank test). This research instrument uses PSQI questionnaire. Results : The results of this study showed sleep quality in people with hypertension the majority of poor sleep quality as much (77.5%). There is a significant association between sleep quality and blood pressure in people with hypertension in Puskesmas Kasihan 1 Bantul region with a p value of 0.027 (p<0.05) for systolic and 0.021 (p<0.05) for diastolic. Conclusion: There is a significant association between sleep quality and blood pressure in people with hypertension with the result of higher sleep quality score, the higher the blood pressure.
