Abstract
This research purposed to analyse the effect of investment, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), inflation, and numbers of hotels on the labor absorption in the special region of Yogyakarta in 2010-2019. This research was done using the secondary data in the form of panel data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, various government agencies and others. The analysis method used in this research was Fixed Effect Model (FEM) panel data. Based on the result of the analysis, it could be understood that all of the independent variables had influenced the labor absorption. Individually or partially, the variable investment had a negative and an insignificant effect on the labor absorption. While the variables of GRDP, inflation, and numbers of hotels had a positive and significant effect on the labor absorption in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
