Abstract

The lawn chopper is a tool used to chop grass to make it smaller. This machine is very useful for humans because it is needed for various purposes, for example to chop the grass for animal feed. This analysis aims to determine the performance of the animal feed chopper with a control system and to determine the maximum and effective performance of the chopper machine. The process of designing a grass chopper is divided into several stages, namely making the frame and making the blade for chopping the grass. The analysis technique is carried out by calculating the time needed in units of kg / minute. Results of counts that can be chopped chopper grass which is an average of 3 cm .Calculation of time using two modes Rpm is maximal and the low, the results of the test using the mode rpm maximum travel time of 60 seconds with 2 kg of grass and testing with fashion low rpm result in a time of 120 seconds for 2 kg of grass Shredded grass measuring 3cm rarata with one blade
