Abstract
. Wirobrajan Signalized Intersection is one of the intersections in Yogyakarta that has a fairly high cycle time and traffic density. As traffic grew, Simpang Wirobrajan experienced overloads that resulted in traffic delays in each of them becoming longer. This study aims to analyze the impact of intersection performance in the form of delays on wasted fuel consumption. The methods used in this study are modeling or simulating intersections using the VISSIM program to analyze the performance of intersections, SPSS to determine the correlation of influence between delays and wasted fuel consumption, and MKJI 1997 to determine the value of saturation degrees on the roads in each intersection. The results of the analysis showed Wirobrajan Signalized Intersections are less eligible for intersections, can be seen from the analysis using VISSIM and MKJI obtained delay values above 80 seconds and saturated degrees > 0,85 which means Wirobrajan Signalized Intersection has valued F of level of services. Total fuel consumption wasted due to delays reached 74,989 liters/hour with a loss of Rp. 573.672,00/hour in existing conditions. The most appropriate alternative solution is modeling or simulating flyover construction with a four-phase traffic setting. The output result of this alternative solution increased significantly from existing conditions with a delay of less than 80 seconds and a saturation degree value of < 0,85 and had a service rate of E at North and South shorts and D in the West and East shorts. Total fuel consumption was wasted at 7,8708 liters/hour with a loss of Rp. 60.212,00/hour.
