Abstract
During Covid-19 pandemic, the English teachers need to adapt with online learning by using online learning tools. Online learning tools is an equipment that help English teachers in delivering the materials and activities in learning and teaching process. Therefore, the purpose of this research to explore the online learning tools used by English teachers, the English teachers’ consideration, and how the teachers implement those online learning tools during Covid-19 pandemic. This research used the qualitative method by conducting in-depth interview. The participants of this research are five English teachers who have been taught English for at least two years and using online learning tools during Covid-19 pandemic from five different high schools in Yogyakarta. This research discovers six types of online learning tools used by English teachers, namely learning management systems, assessment tools, chat and messages, video learning and sharing, content maker, and video conference. Moreover, the English teachers’ consideration in choosing the tools are easy-to-use, accessible, costeffective, interesting, and lightweight. Furthermore, concerning the implementation of the online learning tools, the English teachers explained if they use it for supporting the online learning such as storing the materials, checking the students’ attendance, giving feedback, administering quizzes, assignment and assessment, carrying out virtual meeting, communicating with students, and creating the learning media.
