Abstract
The internet of things (IoT) can make it easier to carry out human
activities in the process of monitoring or controlling devices. For example, in the
process of monitoring and controlling electricity consumption in real time using
the Blynk application. This study aims to apply IoT technology to the control
system and monitoring of electricity consumption costs in real time based on IoT
through the Blynk application. Of course, in the manufacture of this tool requires
a PZEM-004T sensor, arduino, wemos, LCD, 12V/2A adapter, 5V/1A adapter,
and relay. This tool uses the PZEM-004T sensor which functions to read the value
of voltage, current, and power, this tool can also calculate the cost of electricity
consumption per kWh which will later be displayed on the LCD and also
displayed in the Blynk application, this tool is programmed for costs. per kWh
worth Rp. 1,352 for the R-1/ Low Voltage (TR) group of 900 VA power. For
testing this tool using electronic devices such as fans, soldering irons, rice
cookers, laptop and cellphone charges. The average error generated from the
PZEM-004T voltage sensor is 0.72% and the average error for the PZEM-004T
current sensor is 0.29%. The results of monitoring kWh for 1 hour 40 minutes on
testing 1 load, namely the fan kWh used 0.05 kWh, soldering 0.06 kWh, rice
cooker 0.18 kWh, and the results of testing 2 loads, namely laptop and cellphone
charge 0.07 kWh , and the biggest one is the fan and rice cooker 0.24 kWh, while
the results of monitoring costs for 1 hour 40 minutes on testing 1 load, namely the
fan, the costs incurred are Rp. 75,-, soldering Rp. 78,-, rice cooker Rp. 243,-, and
testing on 2 loads, namely laptop and cellphone charges of Rp. 100,-, and for a
fan and a rice cooker it costs Rp. 327,-.
