Abstract

The increasing damage that occurs to the structure of the building is certainly a serious problem, so the need for planning, maintenance to supervision on the existing structure. One of the causes is corrosion. Concrete that has been exposed to harsh environments with carbon dioxide concentrations or at high chloride levels can produce corrosion products with a volume of 6 – 10 times that of reinforcing steel. High corrosion levels can cause damage to the thin layer of steel surface, resulting in erosion and causing the diameter of the reinforcement to be reduced until the structure decreases its strength capacity. Of these problems, research was conducted using numerical analysis of Response-2000 software and without testing in the laboratory so that this research is very different from the research that has been done before. The research was conducted by conducting modelling analysis on reinforced concrete beam test objects using variations in the dimensions of the height, width, and length of the beam span, using different variations of reinforcement, using corrosion levels in reinforcements of 0 % to 50 %, as well as the use of even point and load loads. The results obtained from the analysis in the form of corrosion limit values at a certain level to the influence of beam behavior which include deflection value, curvature, shear strain, maximum load, crack width, long average bond, longitudinal reinforcement stress at crack, long reinforcement stress, longitudinal strain, maximum allowable compression stress, principal tensile strain and principal tensile stress.
