Abstract
Accidents are a problem on Imogiri Timur Street which is increasing every year. One of the reasons is the large capacity volume ratio. This research was conducted on Imogiri Timur Street km 6 – km 8 which aims to identify factors that affect the number of accidents, analyze the relationship between the volume ratio of road capacity and speed and analyze the relationship between the ratio of the volume of road capacity to the accident rate. The data used are primary data and secondary data. In the analysis of the relationship between the volume ratio of road capacity using the 1997 Directorate General of Highway regulation, while for analyzing the regression to determine the relationship between variables using theapplication Microsoft Excel. The results of the analysis in 2018-2020 accidents are dominated by front-side collisions with a percentage of 38%. The results of the analysis of the relationship between the volume ratio of road capacity and speed are inversely proportional to the equation y = -25,775x + 56,718 with R² = 0.7848. This means that when the volume ratio of the road capacity is low, the vehicle speed will be higher. Based on the results of the analysis of the relationship between the volume capacity ratio and the potential for accidents, the equation y = 23.735e2.0411x with a value of R² = 0.7554 so that the greater the value of the volume ratio of the road capacity the potential for conflict will be lower The relationship between the volume ratio of road capacity and accidents with non-linear equations and polynomial graphs, in 2019 the equation y = 158.95e-7.491x with a value of R² = 0.6371 and in 2020 obtained the equation y = 10.463e-2.01x with a value of R² = 0.8658 . Based on the analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the twolines Exponential in the graph above indicate that the highest accident rate occurs during the day due to the relatively low RVK value so that the vehicle speed can be controlled by the driver.
