Abstract

The Islamic finance industry is currently growing rapidly and continues to advance.
One of the fastest growing sectors in the Islamic finance industry is sukuk. Sukuk
are Islamic bonds issued by the private sector or the government. Sukuk issued by
the government are called retail sukuk. Retail sukuk are guaranteed 100% at risk
by the government. This study aims to analyze the demand factors for retail sukuk
demand in Indonesia. The dependent variable used is the volume of the retail sukuk
series SR008-SR010. The independent variables used are inflation, GDP per capita,
yields, sukuk prices and bank deposit rates. Data analysis uses multiple linear
regression analysis (Ordinary Least Square). The results of multiple linear analysis
show that the variable GDP per capita and the price of sukuk have a positive and
significant effect on the level of demand for retail sukuk. The variables of bank
deposit interest rate and inflation have a negative and significant effect on the
demand for retail sukuk. Meanwhile, the yield variable has a positive and
insignificant effect on the demand for retail sukuk.
