Abstract
This study aims to determine the condition of street vendors during the Covid19 pandemic as well as changes in the income of street vendors in the Alun-Alun Kidul area, Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were street vendors in the AlunAlun Kidul area, Yogyakarta, which is located on Jl. Alun-Alun Kidul, Patehan, Kraton, Yogyakarta, D.I. Yogyakarta. This study using a qualitative approach with a sample of 12 key informants. The analytical tool used is Atlas. ti 8.0 with two analysis techniques, namely content analysis and thematic analysis. Based on the analysis that has been done, the results show that the implementation of social and physical distancing in the Alun-Alun Kidul area is the implementation of shifts for selling hours which impact on the number of visitors/buyers, there is a change in the income of street vendors during the Covid-19 pandemic with the percentage change above 50% was caused by limited space and time for street vendors and there were strategic changes made by street vendors in dealing with the economy during the Covid-19 pandemic, namely switching professions such as doing business online and developing innovations aimed at earning income amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
