Abstract
PT Semen Baturaja Tbk is an industry that runs in the field of cementproducing production. In this study, the disturbance that often occurs at PT Semen Baturaja Tbk is when it is in a starting motor condition. When starting the motor the current will reach 6-7 times the nominal current. The sudden spike in current and beyond the starting current setting value can cause a trip when starting the motor. The purpose of this study is for the author to know how to determine the right relay settings according to the needs and so that PT Semen Baturaja Tbk also knows the state/condition of the relay at PT Semen Baturaja Tbk. This research focuses on 5 transformer objects in the Clinker Cooler Substation Feeder subsection. Before determining the value of the relay setting, the author performs a simulation on the ETAP 19.0.1 application to get the shortcircuit current value on several buses. On buses 4,5,6,7,8 the short circuit current values are 10276A, 10176 A, 10618 A, 10618 A, and 10687 A. There are differences in the setting values in the field with the manual calculation values on several objects being studied. At LV 1 and LV 2 there is a difference in value of 0.011s with the setting value in the field and at LV 5 it has a difference of 0.005s. This difference is still in a reasonable condition because it is still included in the tolerance value for relay settings.
