Abstract
Accredited hospitals are required to implement a code blue system, which is a strategy to prevent cardiac arrest, emergency activation, and emergency resuscitation. The success of interventions given when patients experience cases of emergency such as cardiac arrest is influenced by several factors including the integration of code blue system, secondary code blue team, and infrastructures. The code blue team formed is what will be the standard of handling of emergency at the hospital. This study uses a retrospective method with a descriptive-analytical approach on code blue system alignment, availability of infrastructures, number of ROSC, and confirmed the death after cardiac arrest treatment at PKU Muhamadiyah Gamping Hospital. Samples were taken through medical records and records of completeness of infrastructure facilities as of January 1, 2018 – October 30, 2020. Data analysis includes code blue team analysis categorized as 'fast', 'less fast', 'not fast', and the completeness of infrastructure facilities categorized as 'complete', 'incomplete', and incomplete'. The results prove that the code blue system at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital has a response that is not fast. The number of confirmed deaths after cardiac arrest treatment in 10 patients, the number of ROSC is zero, and the completeness of facilities and infrastructure is fully illustrated
