Abstract
Automatic feeder technology is an Automatic Feeding device to maintain feeding
efficiency. With this automatic feeder technology, it can help shrimp farmers in
feeding more easily and efficiently. This study aims to describe the profile and
perceptions of shrimp farmers, and analyze a relationship between the profiles of
farmers and the perceptions of shrimp farmers with the Automatic Feeder
technology. This research was carried out in Kuwaru Hamlet, Poncosari Village,
which used to be a lot of farmers using Automatic Feeder technology. All farmers
in Kuwaru Hamlet became respondents, which consisted of 33 shrimp farmers.
profiles were described descriptively and perceptions were explained
descriptively with the achievement score (%), then the relationship between
profiles and perceptions was analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test.
The results showed that the results of shrimp farmers' perceptions of the
Automatic Feeder technology were quite good. Shrimp farmers' perception of
Automatic Feeder technology on relative advantage will increase in line with the
increase in non-formal education. while the perception of shrimp farmers to
Automatic Feeder technology on complexity and profit will decrease in line with
the length of experience of farmers
