Abstract
Street vendors are one of the vulnerable groups, therefore FPPI as CSO can empower and
strengthen their capabilities. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of FPPI in
empowering street vendors. This research uses a qualitative approach and a case study and the
research conducted in Selokan Mataram Klebengan. Data collection techniques using interviews
and documentation, and the type of data obtained in the form of Primary Data and Secondary
Data. The results of this research shows that the role of Empowerment carried out by FPPI is
empowerment for institutional improvement, access improvement, business improvement and
income improvement. The role of institutional improvement can be seen from the formation of
management structures, training and activities to increase the internal solidarity of street
vendors. Improved access to create a safe business area, The role of Business Improvement
through the provision of infrastructure, business digitization and product quality improvement.
The role of Income improvement is through the arrangement of the merchant menu and event
procurement. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the empowerment
programs carried out by FPPI have contributed to street vendors. However, several indicators
related to business improvement indicators have not run optimally due to various obstacles so
that assistance from FPPI is still needed
