Abstract
The main focus of this research is Collaborative Governance in Waste
Management Case Study of the DIY Environment and Forestry Service in the
Management of the Piyungan Regional TPA 2020. The DIY Environment and Forestry
Service took a breakthrough, namely a form of cooperation in waste management and
not only that but also facilities and infrastructure others are in Bantul Regency, Sleman
Regency and Yogyakarta City. To find out how collaborative governance practices
carried out by DLHK to manage waste at the Piyungan landfill, the author uses
Collaborative Governance theory which includes trust among participants,
accountability sharing, network structure types, governance, commitment to goals,
information sharing, access to resources, and access to power. And to see the impact of
the Piyungan TPA on the community, the author uses the theory of political ecology
and sustainable development. This study used a qualitative descriptive method and used
secondary and primary data from the Head of the DLHK Waste Management Center
and the Head of the Ngablak, Nglengkong and Banyakan Hamlets. Furthermore, in
processing the data, the author finds that currently DLHK meets the criteria for
collaborative governance. However, in implementing it, the government is considered
less successful because many indicators of political ecology and sustainable
development have not been met.
