Abstract
Humans are one of the social creature who have reason and mind and also the ability to interact with fellow humans do not livealon but need one another from a physical and social context. Online games are the digital gamer that can be played when the devine is connected to an internet network that allows users to conneet with other players who are accessing the game at the same time. There are more and more online games users, ranging from various circles, sunh as children, teenagers and even adults from amog college students. The subjects in this study werefive students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. This study aims to determine the psychological and spiritual impact of computer-base and mobile online game players according to the cognitive psychology theory and social psychology amog UMY students. The data colleetion teehniques in this study used observation and interviews, then used qualitative research methods and deseriptive approaches. The results of this study indicate that there are changes in the psychin, spiritual, cognitive and social behavior of users of online games based on computers and mobile among UMY students. This refers to the results of interviews with the five informants who said that playing online games can affect emotions, feelings, self-confidence , social interactions, and make them neglect of the obligation to worship and other useful activities when they play online games
