Abstract

A study of the Ef ect of Plant Population and Dosage of Nitrogen
Fertilizer on Growth and Yield of Mustard Plants aims to determine the
interaction between plant population and dose of nitrogen fertilizer on mustard
plant growth, the ef ect of plant population level on the growth and yield and the
most optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer for mustard plant growth and yield of
mustard greens. Growth and yield of mustard plants Research has been carried
out in dsn. Little Mountain, Ds. Purwoasri, Pacitan Regency, East Java, with an
altitude of 32 meters above sea level. This research was conducted for 2 months
from July 13 to September 13, 2020. This research was conducted using a research method designed using a
factorial Completely Randomized Block Design (RAKL) consisting of two factors. The first factor was the plant population which consisted of two levels, i.e: P1:
Plant population was 75 plants per plot, equivalent to 250,000 plants/ha. P2:
Plant population 150 plants per plot, equivalent to 500,000 plants/ha. The second
factor is the dose of plant nitrogen fertilizer consisting of six levels,i.e: N0 : 0 kg
N ha-1 (Without Urea), N1: 57,5 kg N ha-1, N2: 86,25 kg N ha-1, N3: 115 kg N
ha-1, N4 : 143,75 kg N ha-1, N5 : 172,5 kg N ha-1
The results showed that there was no interaction between the dose of plant
population and nitrogen fertilizer on the growth of mustard plants. The plant
population gave the same ef ect on the growth and yield of mustard plants. The
optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer for the growth and yield of mustard greens is
143,75 kg N ha-1.
