Abstract
This study aims to explain the hadiths reviewed by al-Bukhārī about
women, identify the contents of these hadiths, as well as to find the methods used
by the Prophet in educating women. The type of research is library research with
an interpretative descriptive approach and content analysis. The data were
collected using documentation techniques. The primary data are in the form of the
book of Sahih al-Bukhārī as well as the syarah of the book. The secondary data
are in the form of documents in the form of books, journals or documents in the
form of software such as al-Maktabah asy-Syamilah. The data analysis technique
of this research is gender bias analysis techniques with aspects of access, activity,
control, and benefit. The results of this study indicate that the contents of the
hadiths discuss about the creation and the nature of women, women education,
rights, and freedom of expression for women. The educational methods used were
methods of hiwar, amtsal, lectures, exemplary, classical, habituation, and
demonstrations. By using the four aspects of gender analysis (access, activities,
control, and benefit) it can be observed that the Prophet did not differentiate
between male and female education. Therefore, this study concludes that the
Prophet uses the same method as men in educating women.
