Abstract
This research aims at evaluating the implementation of reading Al-Qur’an and Dhuha prayer program in Muhammadiyah Gamping Vocational High School Sleman by considering context, input, process, and product, implementing CIPP evaluation model. The type of the research is descriptive evaluation implementing mixed methods. This research was conducted in Muhammadiyah Gamping Vocational High School Sleman. The subjects of the research were school principals, ISMUBA teachers, and students. The data collection techniques implemented were observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research indicates: (1) context: based on the history of reading Al-Qur’an and Dhuha prayer program, there were many students who could not read Al-Qur’an and possess Islamic character by praying. (2) input: the input of reading AlQur’an and Dhuha prayer together covers teachers’ preparation, equipment. The condition of equipment (room and musholla) is very good. (3) process: the process of reading Al-Qur’an and Dhuha prayer covers method and assessment. Method or the process of reading Al-Qur’an and Dhuha prayer activities are where students read in turn and are assessed using control book and attendance. (4) product: the product of reading Al-Qur’an covers the improvement of reading Al-Qur’an skill and dealing with the product of Dhuha prayer together, the school could not tell whether the program gives significant influence towards students’ implementation outside the school or not.
