Abstract

Pseudococcus jackbeardsleyi is one of the pests of cassava plants. The aim of
this research was to study the population dynamics of P. jackbeardsleyi in three
different locations (Pejagran, Wonoroto, Kesidan) in Ngombol sub-district,
Purworejo district during 23 weeks of observation. The results showed that the
population density of P. jackbeardsleyi was different in each location and
fluctuated in each week of observation. P. jackbeardsleyi began to invest when the
plants at 12-14 weeks old. The highest population found in Wonoroto when the
plants at 12 weeks old, resulting 32.4% invesment rate in this location. Natural
enemies found such as Dolicoderus thoracicus and Coccinella transversalis.
