PESAN DAKWAH DALAM NOVEL KEHORMATAN DIBALIK KERUDUNG KARYA MA'MUN AFFANY (ANALISIS WACANA tEUN A. VAN DIJK)

A message is a collection of symbols, words, or information that contains meaning
conveyed by the communicator to the communicant so that good communication
occurs. In comparison, the novel is one of the communication media in da’wah.
Therefore, delivering da’wah using novel media and packaged into an interesting
narrative story can be more effective in the process of running da’wah. Da’wah is
an invitation to do good deeds and leave the evil. Today’s da’wah is no longer in a
narrow sense like recitation or lectures on the pulpit. Da’wah can be done using
oral, written, and deed/action. The purpose of this study is to find out what the
message of da’wah is in the novel Kehormatan Dibalik Kerudung (Honor Behind
the Veil) by Ma’mun Affany by using a descriptive qualitative approach and using
discourse analysis of the Teun A. van Dijk model. It criticizes the situation and
conditions at that time, namely the case of polygamy carried out by an influential
religious figure in Indonesia, namely Ust. Aa Gym, which at that time was widely
highlighted by the media. The discourse analysis model of Teun A. van Dijk
explains that an event can be analyzed critically by using elements of
macrostructure, superstructure, and microstructure. The results of this study
indicate that there is a message of da’wah in the novel Kehormatan Dibalik
Kerudung by Ma’mun Affany by using discourse analysis of the Teun A. van Dijk
model, namely in the aspects of aqidah, sharia, and morals.
